This property was built around 1873 for the family of John George Swan. It remained lived in but relatively unchanged for several decades.
Under private ownership, we were initially consulted to advise on the poor condition of the library woodwork.
We renovated the staircases and extensive work to the dining room and the library, as part of a bigger restoration project.
All were restored to their former stunning appearance, using the same traditional techniques as would have been in the 19th century.
